UC Policy on Sustainable Practices
In March of 2007, The University of California Office of the President released a new policy addressing the need for more sustainable practices throughout the UC System. This policy was developed to standardize campus practices and promote a more ecologically friendly and efficient use of our resources. There are several subsections within the policy including direction regarding Green Building Design, Clean Energy Standard, Climate Protection Practices, Sustainable Transportation Practices, Sustainable Operations, Recycling and Waste Management and Environmentally Preferable Purchasing Practices.
