Working Groups
As the campus community met at UCSC's annual Earth Summit, many envisioned that topic groups would continue meeting and working throughout the year to make the campus more sustainable. Today these topic groups, many of which have already made remarkable progress and many of which are in the early stages of establishment, are known as Working Groups. The Working Groups report to the Committee on Sustainability and Stewardship (CSS) and work to prioritize sustainability goals, identify strategic action, make informed recommendations, implement tangible, environmentally preferable change, and facilitate cooperation among all campus members and the extended community. Co-chairing each group is at least one staff member and student, who help convene group meetings, plan agendas, submit minutes and report to the CSS, as appropriate.
