    The Need To Grow -March 4th, 1- 2 pm

    Join us for a screening of the award-winning documentary, The Need to GROW! The movie link will be sent to registered participants beforehand to watch on their own time, before the live Zoom Q & A on March 4th, 1- 2 pm.

    The Need To GROW takes you inside the hearts and innovations of three very different leaders — an 8-year-old girl challenges the ethics of a beloved organization — a renegade farmer struggles to keep his land as he revolutionizes resource-efficient agriculture — and an accomplished visionary inventor faces catastrophe in the midst of developing a game-changing technology.     2040 - Dec 3rd, 2:45 - 3:30pm

    Join the Sustainability Office for our Fall Screening of 2040 followed up by a 45 min Q&A with Ellen Vaughan, Water & Climate Action Manager, and Environmental Studies Professor Elliott Campbell.

    After you register, you will be able to watch the movie starting 48 hours prior to Q&A event. Please join us for the live Q & A at 2:45 pm-3:30pm PST on Dec 3rd.

    You will be sent a link to watch the film via email, and a secondary link will be provided to you for the Live Q&A Session.

    The film takes a solutions-based approach to how we can, using the technology we already have, mitigate the enormous global issues we currently face. The main themes/solutions looked at in the film are around: empowerment of women and girls; marine regeneration; regenerative agriculture; renewable energy; and circular economy. It's a story of hope, and a powerful tool to encourage people to take action. You can watch the trailer here.

    The Story of Plastic - May 14, 2 - 4:30 pm

    The Sustainability Office invites you to the virtual screening of THE STORY OF PLASTIC followed up by a Q & A on May 14, 2-4:30 pm. Please register via Eventbrite by May 13, 2 pm. This new documentary film by Deia Schlosberg which exposes the local and global environmental, climate, justice, and health impacts of the plastic industry, was released on April 22, in honor of Earth Day.
