People Planet Power Summit 2025
The UC Santa Cruz Sustainability Office invites you to join for the 2025 People Planet Power (PPP) Summit!
The event is taking place April 11th - 13th at UCSC & at the YMCA Camp Campbell in Boulder Creek which features beautiful trails, cozy cabins, and enriching nature.
PPP is a completely free, overnight retreat for students.
The theme for this year's retreat is:
Global Liberation: Imagining the Sustainability of Technology, the Economy, and Political Ecology.
We will explore the environmental impacts of: (1) technological advancements in the West, (2) global geo-political power structures, and (3) the relationship between economic activity and environmental wellbeing.

Expect interesting keynote speakers, vibrant community-building exercises, student-led workshops, shared meals, and free time to explore nature and make new friends. Past workshop examples include trash art, mushroom walks, and sustainable sewing. The retreat will also have open mic night, outdoor games, and other fun activities.
